DescriptionThis long wall-hanging is made primarily from hand-woven hemp decorated in indigo batik geometric patterns with narrow red machine appliqued stripes. It also has examples of hand applique in the blue and red squares set on point, in the characteristic Blue Hmong diamond shapes on a red ground, and in the vintage floral prints. Geometric cross-stitched designs in tan, red and white border much of the central panel.
