DescriptionThe front and sleeves of this upper garment are a deep cobalt blue on the front (closed with two ties midway) with four embroidered squares set on point,. The top squares have a floral motif center, differing from the lower squares. The primary stitch is satin stitch. The hem area has overlay of squares composed of black and white triangles separqated by rectangles. The sleeve cuffs of patterned indigo fall below several rows of patterned commercial tape and silk ribbons. The back of the garment, sleeve back upper arm, are of intricate embroidery (floral and fish patterns) cut, work, and appliques in bright colors, green and red dominate. Side A part of the garment is lined in black synthetic fabric. The collarless garment neck area outlined in a patterned green silk.1925-1935
