DescriptionVest with body made of nine pieces of white wool felt. The opening, hem area, neck side slits, and deep cuffs are decorated with a fine silk chain stitch in rusts, dark green, orange, and white. The bodice is completely covered in couched bands in red, geometric figures---rhomboids with raised 8's and circles. The colors are hot pink, blue, burgundy, orange, white, and a teal green. Each opening of the bodice has spherical, filigreed buttons---21 on PR and 19 on PL. Four stylized pink, star-like flowers that emerge from a geometric figure (vase?). are on each shoulder. A slit pocket is on PR side seam. The inside of the vest is of red wool lining, with the hem, front opening, and neck covered with embroidery stitches. There are four orange-red quarter rounds enhanced with couching where the hem and sides meet.Early-mid 20th century
