DescriptionThe scene depicts a ritual occasion, a turmeric ceremony, which happens before a wedding in Bangladesh. The central round design of the lotus is encircled by women engrossed in their work for the bride's ceremony: the application of turmeric to the bride, cutting painted fish (brought by the groom's party), crushing henna leaves with water, turmeric for use with the bride, and the married women preparing food (grinding spices, for fish and rice).

Designed by Rahman the sewers name in Bengla is stitched on bottom right nad corner. The deaer's note on back tag reads, "By Raria."
