DescriptionThree women, dressed in different colored saris, are seen dying a red bordered sari yellow with tumeric mixed in water, for presentation to the bride. A water jug and mortar and pestle are seen in the lower right. Behind is a painted settee for the groom shaded by red fabric tied onto colored bamboo poles. This area is decrated with mango leaves and marigolds hanging from two streamers. The lamp of hope is kindled alongside.The sewer's name (likely in Bangla alphabet) is stitched on the bottom right corner. the designer's Surayia Rahman's, signature and the the logo for the cooperative Arshi are stitched on bottom left corner. On the reverse a note stuck to the frame, reads "Aleyea."
