DescriptionSmooth, hardwood heddle pulley with large, horned head, thin, straight arms, spindle and bobbin. Has traces of red dye or stain on "chest", face, arms and back. Face has human appearance with half circle eyes, long, thin nose, small mouth, notched beard around long, rounded chin. The horns are separated and tilt back from the face. Behind the head, attached to the upper back, is a carved "handle." Has dark wood bobbin on wood spindle.
