DescriptionThe body of this bracelet is silver that has been hammered to form columns of five raised kernel shapes that encompass the bracelet. Above and below these columns is a thin smooth raised line and a stippled line above that, both of which again encompass the entirety of the bracelet. There is a pin that holds together a hinge-like mechanism on one side. On each side of the pin, there are two round turquoise pieces inlayed and surrounded by silver filigree (total of four pieces). The pin has an eye hook loop on one end that is attached to a small chain, which is also attached at the other end with a small eye hook that has been soldered to the base of the bracelet. At the end of the chain there is a small cylindrical red coral bead. The interior of the bracelet is smooth, with small indentations that correspond to the hammered work on the outside of the piece.Late 19th century
