FA. 72.25-5k Swar Habbayyat (late nineteenth century) (Fig. 47) This wide silver bracelet is made of eleven vertical rows of silver balls or grains called ḥabbayyāt (“little seeds"),36 Between each row is a bar to which the grains are attached by a ring. At either end there is a decorated rectangular piece. The two rectangles join to form the clasp into which a long silver pin is inserted. Although this type of bracelet was produced in Nablus and was typical of Samaria, it was worn in many parts of Palestine. Height: 5 cm. Diameter: 5 cm.
