DescriptionDetailed carved and painted head (blue eyes, pink face, white beard, hair, eyebrows); red painted cloak with carved sleeves around figure, white painted cuffs and front lower trim; cloak carved opening at bottom showing dark green undergarment; black painted hands/gloves extend to hold sailboat. Boots carved and black painted indicated at bottom beneath undergarment; red hat with carved holly painted green (two leaves) and red berries. Artist signed on lower back and bottom in black block letters "CAMPBELL". Carving of cloak trim and drape of sleeves continued around back of figure.Sailboat carved and painted: hull outside in blue with white trim and name "SANTA" in black in rear; brown open interior with carved bench seat; brown mast with white and red outlined in black, striped front sail, smaller white rear sail; red flag on top. Artist's block signature on bottom in black.
