DescriptionBlack, rectangular woman's veil with bottom border of macrame and tassels. Central panel of woven horsehair decorated with horizontal bands of clear glass beads and clear beads with red, blue and green centers. The edges are bound with borders of black cotton cloth embroidered in chainstitched linear waves, spirals and faintly plantlike forms in off-white. Circular pink and blue spirals centering metal sequins are spaced ~ every 4". At the bottom is located a macramé border from which multiple tassels hang, the tassels bound with black and red trims, beaded with large metal beads with flattened edges, and ornamented with flowerlike red, blue and cream covers.20th century
