DescriptionFolding "eye-shaped" hat (as seen from above) with black wool facing. Heavily embroidered and couched in floral forms and decorated with glass-bead-centered, metal sequins. Many forms of applied trims and edges with multiple rows of trims, rickrack and embroidery. Ends with brocade fabric insets. Conical center with four part design and short wool pompoms. Center has tall decoration of a wood center covered with red wool yarn and finished with metallic thread and coins with wool tassels. The underside has a padded wood or straw construction covered with salmon-colored fabric over dark green wool with red wool edge binding.
