DescriptionLarge black silk shawl embroidered with four large red roses and multicolored embroidery. Shawl has wide, intricately macrameed work with long fringe on all sides. The four large red roses, one from each corner on gray stems, dominate, with a medium red flower in the center and a blue flower between each rose at the outside. A border of smaller red, yellow, blue and orange flowers surround the shawl, with a few smaller flowers in white, orange, red and purple stewn overall.Late 18th century
