DescriptionDark brown silk vest with richly couched floral front and back has deep U opening with four hook and eye closures below. Lined in a light seafoam green satin. The metal wrapped thread couching on front of sinuous leafy vining that follows the opening and curls around the bottom edge, encircling a pair of roses at each side. On the back a large, slightly round bottomed triangle encircles three roses, all in a similar motif to the front. The vest much sweat darkened with much oxidation of the metal thread, hooks and eyes.Early-mid 20th century
