DescriptionVertical die cut card with lacy gothic arches and gingerbread along top, proper top left side of image, and around edges and bottom. Printed girl in bride-like gown and veil made of actual fabrics and lace holds long lit taper in one hand. She approaches a covered altar upon which are painted candles, vase of flowers, etc. over a pearlescent altar cloth. The floor is painted green with roses. The back, in fine handwriting, reads "M. Grand a fait Sa 1er Communion le 11 Juin 1874 en S. Eglise de St. Louis." Below, in tiny handwriting is "donne par Mme Héussé le 10 Juin (unreadable) 4."
