DescriptionFigure has looped drapery of cloth dipped in yeso, short curly hair, usual bare knees. A flat prop of wood covered with yeso was placed behind back to support weak legs of figure. On back is pasted a label written: "AD 1760. San Rafael the Fisherman Pecos Indian Church. Oxp $5.00." Unlike many old dealers' labels this may be the approximate correct date for this santo, based on its stylistic treatment. Mended feet with glue, yeso, toned color, waxed.
