DescriptionLarge vase in Monteria style painted all over in what appears to be a lion hunt in Spain (certainly NOT Africa) with seven hunters and seven dogs, stag in lake and lion cornered by two men on horseback. Rural setting with a few houses and mountains in background, some shrubs and willow-like trees in mid-ground along with lake and most of figures in foreground. Cream colored background. Top yellow rim followed below by three blue lines, row of yellow pear shapes and pale green leaves, three blue lines, large yellow line, three blue lines, hunting scene on major portion of vase, then series of blue and yellow lines at base. Words on bottom "NOT FOR FOOD USE, MAY POISON FOOD - SPAIN".
