DescriptionThe brown, long sleeved, fine-wool vest has dark brown couched wool trim at the collar, hem, front openings, sleeves, cuffs, and sleeve seam. A gold metal braid forms a zig-zag between brown couched collar decoration. On the front, along the opening are designs in a lighter brown. Two rondels of grey cotton are trimmed with light brown and gold. The inside design is quadrilateral. At jacket front along the hem are lyre designs, four brown buttons 2 to a side). The cuff has a finely couched four inch area leading to a lyre design. Going to the elbow is an orange design. Brown buttons close the cuffs.1890s
