DescriptionDance mask representing Dewi Kalika. Mask has a red face, a large gold crown with blue and red pieces of glass as gems. The character's nose and eyes are large and protruding. The teeth are large and white; the top canines are particularly large and curved along with tusk-like teeth that come from the bottom jaw. The ears have large teardrop-shaped holes in the lobes. From the mouth hangs a long decoration constructed of a central piece of gold that is covered in geometric designs and pieces of red and blue glass. Surrounding the gold piece is a border of human hair cut short in a brush-like manner.Late 19th century
