DescriptionMask with bulging eyes, fangs, a red face with a beard of long flowing black hair. The mask is topped with a two-layer headdress, carved and painted gold on the front and with white on black scroll work on the back. The mask has large, pointed ears and gold work set with fake jewels above the eyes and nose. In the back of the mask are handles and holes which are used to move the lower jaw.Late 19th century
