DescriptionThis head covering seems to come from three different periods. The oldest, with fringe threads encased in metal coils and a wide band of flat embroidery---crosses and geometric petterns in brown and black. The next band is more raised with looser stitches (brown predominates). Finally, a new white cotton section with brown (commercial?) tape and red ties at opening.
