DescriptionRoughly cut horizontal tin sheet, pierced at all corners and mostly painted in shades of red and pink. Image depicts a room with a woman in bed along one wall and another woman kneeling beside her. Over the bed is a crucifix hanging on the wall. In the upper left (proper right) corner of the painting is an apparition of a nun holding a cross in one hand and something red in the other. Below, the inscription reads: " El dia 17 de Abril de 1854 se enfermo gravemente mi hija mi Rosalia Marquez de una fuerte irritacion de la piel por estar enferma de la sangre. Invoque a Santa de Cascia mi hija y pronto se esta reestlablaciendo. Tomasa M."
