Bathara Narada is Bathara Guru's chief advisor and he acts as a messenger between the gods in heaven and the earthly realm. Narada, who is himself a god, is an ebullient character; he never gets angry, and he often laughs and makes jokes. Narada is also wise and particularly knowledge-able about spiritual matters.
He is involved in numerous lakon about the gods and the others including "Ciptoning" (Arjuna's Deep Meditation), "Sugriwa Subali" (The story of sugriwa and Subali)," and "Guthutkaca Jedi" (Guthutkaca is Thrown into the Cauldron), from the Mahabharata.
