ProvenancePurchased with a lot of retablos from Julius Gans.

DescriptionFigure in dark gray dress (meant for black?) with round neck and half sleeves outlined by white ruffles or dots. She has long, brown hair, floral wreath on heml, halo of solid yellow and brown, holds crucifix and large skull under one arm. Background is of allover red, no borders, pale white floral elements dinly visible on background. Face is quite realistic, cf. A5.1952.66. No true blacks used in this panel.
