DescriptionChrist figure done in various shades of straw from brown to gold. Hangs on a black cross. His arms are outstretched. He wears a loincloth of straw,a crown of thorns, and his legs are crossed at the ankles. Diamond-shaped pieces of straw form a halo above his head. At the top of the cross are two straw angels. The smaller one at the left is playing a flute with three musical notes falling from it. A slightly larger angel is on the right and an upward-flying bird is between them. On each arm of the cross are two round objects with extended lines, plus single lines of lighting. Two more lines of lightning parallel the figures legs. At the base of the cross, straw drops of blood are falling into a straw chalice. Straw flowers and cranes surround the chalice. A single line of straw along the edges of the cross form a border. Signed, titled and dated on the back.
