DescriptionQuisicosas Head, purple. Large round helmet-mask with whimsical face. Purple face w/long, tubular projecting nose and ears. Multi-colored yarn for hair, blk. crepe paper beard. Made of woven cotton fiber strips wrapped around round surface and glued in place. Overpainted numerous times. Plastic discs for eyes. These heads were made by Will Shuster and frineds sometime in late 1920's early 1930's. They were used in various Fiesta activities until 1984. According to Calla Hay, who helped make the heads, The glue used was recently on the market and made everyone sick.
