DescriptionInterior: Painting of four Kabuki figures in the mode of the Chinese "lion" pour and drink sake in a happy festive scene, surrounded by Chrysanthemums, bamboo and flying cranes - symbolizing long life and happiness. Exterior: Painting of festively adorned boxes used for gifts and for decoration, containing shrimps and cranes - showing the gifts given at the time of a young woman's engagement. Colors are gray, pale red , pale black, pale gold-green and brown, pale blue; materials are silk and dyes; technique is "Yuzen" (painted with dyes).
