ProvenanceExcerpted from a donor email: Purchased by donor in 2000 in Mexico City at the Palacio de las Mascaras gallery. This store had 15-20 rooms of vintage Mexican masks hanging on the wall, floor to ceiling. After purchasing some masks, the owner Eugenio Sosa Rodriguez took me upstairs to his living quarters to show me this sculputre, presumably of a cow's leg bone. I recall that his father had carved it years before, and he was then willing to sell it; 11/9/2018
