DescriptionVellum and parchment illuminated scroll (a) affixed to a small silver colored "handle" with carnelian and garnet ends, and bound with a gold or gold gilt clasp (b), the whole within a silver case, deeply tooled with an overall scrolling floral motif (c). Unrolled, the scroll (a) contains eleven sections of Hebrew calligraphy divided by hand painted "arches" with miniature images illustrating the story of Purim within the columns and throughout the text.
