DescriptionDark brown smoked basket with which flares out to a wide shoulder with a flat section, then angles sharply inward to a narrower mouth. The top half of wide rattan splints, woven at the neck in horizontal plain (basket) weave which is plaited at the lower edge. A wrapped vine bent around the exterior of the sharp, flat shoulder. The basket is also woven under the shoulder and in four widely separated bands of woven Xs around the narrower splints forming the lower body. The base is encircled with bent rods which provde a platform and protect the "dream catcher-like" suspended bottom.1970's
