DescriptionLarge seated figure of African man wearing a short sleeved shirt (with traces of yellow pigment remaining), shorts, bush hat, high socks and black shoes. He holds a book in his proper left hand. His face is decorated with scarification marks on the cheeks and over the upper lip. He sits in a high backed chair with carved half circles and hatched, alternating zigzag triangles. His legs serve for the front legs of the chair.
