DescriptionMonkey mask of dark hardwood with basketry "head protector" covered with oiled cotton strips all around edge. The mask has a long pointed nose and mouth of two pieces, the top and bottom of the mouth carved to nearly meet at the tip. The nose with small piecing at end, the semi-circular eyes carved into bisected, flattened areas behind nose. Long early with narrow hatches and three piercings on each, set low at sides. Nylon cord hanger tied through small holes under eyes where basketry hat and cover also attached.
