DescriptionSaltillo style rug with red ground and white fringe. Woven with a border of large serrated reverse S shapes bordered by a black zigzag band with points inset with diamonds at the ends. In the center floats a large oval inset with a long, narrow diamond, large black and white striped diamonds (i.e., between the central oval and ends). White forms and bird-like silhouettes as well as other black and white serrated zigzags enliven the ground between and around the large central ornaments.
