DescriptionHand-shaped pine panel, not rectangular. In the Calligraphic style. Figure in black nun's habit stands on a rose pedestal; holds crucifix in right hand. What she hldl in left hand is now obliterated. Cross-hatched swags upper corners, rose tile floor without perspective, pair small trees left and right, large rose flower at right side of panel. Entire panel done in rose and black. On reverse as indented a brand mark. Panel from old collections, had no MNM mark of any kind, and was lent to Lincoln County Museum at Lincoln NM, when this opened ca 1940. Withdrawn from Lincoln, 1952.
