DescriptionMachete-like sword with copper/metal inlay and a highly carved horse on seahorse head. Bone handle with brown brush-like nose and a braided and wood section with embedded brass coins. A much smaller crudely shaped knife has a round dark brown wood handle with braiding, and has a tag with "163.III." Both sword and knife fit into a two piece carved wood, bone, leather, and bark scabbard tied together with woven and braided strips. A woven handle has a loop on one end and two metal rings on the the other end. With the exception of the bone and metal parts, all colors are light and dark brown.Early -mid 20th century
