DescriptionSlendang (Shoulder Cloth), Ikat Silk Panel, Shoulder Cloth A: A flat, woven cloth has a central field of elaborate floral decoration rendered via ikat dyeing. There is a rectangle of a dark red ground, flanked on either side by bands of a lighter red ground. The two ends are finished each with tumpal (triangular) motifs and a narrow band of design. Color B: Maroon red, dark cranberry red, pale yellow and violet. Technique C: Weft Ikat on Weft-faced plain weave.
