DescriptionNiño Escondido, original at Cordova Church, copied by Juan A. Sanchez, For Federal Art Projects, WPA, July 1939.

A kneeling, painted, male figure in brown and red against a yellow background inside a red frame is attached at an angle to a green glass-enclosed nicho with two circular flower designs at top. A kneeling, painted, female figure in brown, red, and black against a yellow background inside a red frame is also attached at an angle on the right side of the nicho. The two s-shaped pieces are attached to the tops of the two frames and are joined under the top of the nicho. Inside the nicho is a naked, carved child. The whole "altar" sits on a four level pedestal painted in green, black, red, and yellow.
