Collections
ProvenanceColin Gross, an art dealer in Notting Hill, purchased these moccasins in London many years ago (some time before 2006). They were included in an auction catalog published by Bonhams in September 2006 (Lot 33 of The Colin and Jeanette Gross Collection of North American Indian Art). Gross later gifted them to Tad Dale, owner of Tad Tribal Art in Santa Fe, who now offers them to MOIFA.
DescriptionLeather slippers with silk embroidery or red/pink flower on each. Fur trim has mostly degraded away.
