DescriptionThis rectagular bedspread is an example of tape work, needle lace and button hole rings. It's central panel is centered with a large button hole ring that serves as the center of a stylized flower. Around it are stylized flowers, trefoil vine leaves, 8 pointed flowers in the corners, and leaves resembling paisley shapes. Around this are four bands of equal width, which also have eight pointed flowers anchoring the corners, trefoil flowers and vines, and buttonholes running the entire length. The edging is a trefoil pattern. On the outer band, on one of the flowers is superimposed a grouping of three stems, one with 3 leaves, one 5, and one 7. It's the only place on the beadspread that such a design is seen.
