DescriptionHandmade spinning wheel with many practical repairs, hand-carved driving wheel, hand crank, whorl, and upright supports in typical zig-zag "New Mexico Empire" style, thread and spool attached, spool is a different color from thread.
Per M. Manier: This hand-cranked spinning wheel with spindle sits on Z feet; A heavyweight, but thin cotton cord passes around the wheel and upright whorl; A similar cord wraps around the wheel in 1"-3" intervals; A ball of spun, brown yarn sits on the spindle, 2/27/2018.
