DescriptionMade and worn by the donor's grandmother Elizabeth West, sometime during the 1890s-1920s. Both pieces would have been created using a bobbin pillow and pins to help create the characteristic Cluny-style leaf shaped tallies (sometimes called wheatears). The lace is formed from tallies and woven areas/tapes connected by a bar ground.
