DescriptionFemale figure with a carved wooden head with painted thick black eyebrows, black shut eyes, red lips. The arms and hands (thumbs) are also carved wood. The hair is made of bark strips. The body is a solid wooden skirt that is covered by bark strips. The figure holds a woven basket with two wooden cylindrical-shaped babies inside that have tied bark details and painted facial features. c. 1900
