DescriptionEcru-colored cotton short-sleeved vest which is richly decorated. The sleeve area is embroidered in white, red, and green cross-stitch over red and brown cottons. Other stitches are chain, buttonhole, and buttonhole variations. Other decoration enhancing the sleeves are silver metallic sequins centered with black beads (principle) and with red and light blue beads. There are sheared cotton pompons of brown and red, and a looped red cord that finish the sleeve ends. The bottom of the vest is in the same, but with different geometic patterns (cross? variations) set in squares. The front-opening bodice area has sequins and embroidery. It is outlined in brown lazy daisy stitches. The stand up collar is of wool felt. The collar, front opening, and sleeve seams are accented with red and black braid.1930-1939
