DescriptionChemise a) : White, sleeveless, cotton chemise with a front opening to waist. White, cotton tape with white (hand?) crocheted lace circles the hem. Sleeves b and c): The rectangular sleeves are of a heavier white cotton than the dress. They have an intricate embroidery in petit point, chain stitch with miniscule crocheted inserts and pulled thread inserts. The predominant color is burgundy red with pink, green, and purple accents in a cross motif. The embroidery is rimmed with a green and purple braid. One gold braid lies at seams. Three pink, wool tassels complete the sleeve at wrist area.
