DescriptionPaper and cloth mache mask featuring red depiction of Mahakala, the wrathful manifestation of Avalokiteshvara. The face has three eyes, mouth is open wide, showing teeth. The facial hair, including beard and eyebrows, is painted with gold. The face has a crown of what appear to be skulls.
