DescriptionWork is done a light gray cotton. The beaded pattern of this hood is primarily a repeated outlining in both tiny chain stitch embroidery alternating with five rows of beads, beginning from a Y form at the back of the head. Other than the outer one, each beaded group is framed in white, enclosing two rows of "ticked" combinations of blue with yellow, alternating with orange and yellow ticks, divided with a central turquoise stripe. Between the bead pairings are four rows of miniscule chain stitch in yellow, rust, blue, and yellow. At the back of the crown is a triangular design resembling that of the eye. There are twenty-one strands of white beads that form the chin strap, connected on each side. There are seven loops of beads that fall from the temple area on each side in yellow, orange, light blue, and white.Early 20th century
