DescriptionMade almost exclusively of corduroy, but with several patches of velvet, twill, and synthetic (purplish) materials. The quilt is a riot of color, including cobalt blue, white, navy, turquoise, teal, magenta, burgundy, rose, pink, pale blue, brown, greys, olive, black, yellow ochre, lavender, red and yellow. The design is organic, composed of squares, rectangles, triangles, and irregular shapes. The white cotton backing consists of two pieces of material, machine sewn together. The hand quilting (white thread) is a white stripe, somewhat wavy pattern. Stripes on average are 3cm apart. The quilt has a hanging sleeve on the back.1928 - 1935
