DescriptionLarge double-handled bean pot (a) with lid (b), the exteriors covered in red engobe, polished, and painted in green and white. The pot is painted on one side with an eagle with outstretched wings and a snake in its mouth, sitting on a prickly pear cactus. On the other side a long beaked bird with a long "fluffy" looking tail sits on a zinnia with other flowers to both sides. The lid is painted with three birds and flowers. Stamped center bottom of pot: "HECHO EN MEXICO, LEAD FREE: FOOD USE SAFE BY M.B. TONALA, JAL", within a circle, with an open handprint image in the center. Lid is pierced in three places.
