DescriptionHalter consists of a rectangle of leather straps or large silver links with a crosspiece forming an X in the center, the leather straps decorated with silver ornaments. The large silver links at the bottom end of the halter have cutouts which hold the leather straps in place. Hanging from a cutout at the proper left bottom corner is a long pierced strap with a silver buckle at one end, and a fiber repair or knot tied onto the belt. The top strap is decorated with two inward facing sheep flanking a large horizontal diamond centering a face with frond-like hair. Thecenter of the X has a six pointed star within a circle, and all other leather straps are decorated with hands, birds, quatrefoil-like forms, camelids and other animals, and one woman.20th century
