DescriptionCast or molded. Lamp round, flattened, has swinging lid for wick on which is a small rooster that unscrews lid when lamp and wick are cleaned. Holes for air and wick in same lid. Tongs on chain are attached to stirrup, for trimming wick. Collected in Peru, 1921, when such lamps were still used in mines.
