DescriptionGold earrings with screw back fastening (made for unpierced ears). The tops of the earrings are rounded, three-dimensional ellipses decorated by textured zig zag incisions, creating a chevron pattern. A second larger ellipse hangs from the top one by two short pieces of chain. The larger ellipse is also decorated by the chevron incisions; however this is encircled by a plain circle of gold (like a frame). Soldered to the bottom of each of the lower ellipses are three filigree decorations. Each decoration is made up of three adjacent teardrop shaped hoops; from each of the middle hoops hangs a long teardrop shaped hollow dangle. The three dangles on each earring are shaped like long rounded cones with slits in the bottom, giving them the appearance of bells.Artist unrecorded
